‘A’ Tri-series rescheduled
Summary

SA players request a day’s rest after getting discharged from hospital

Due to unavoidable circumstances the league match between Australia 'A' and South Africa 'A' which was re-scheduled to be played on August 11 has been postponed to August 12. A few players from South Africa had taken ill due to food poisoning and had to be hospitalized. Although they have now been discharged from the hospital, they have requested a day's rest. A team official was quoted saying, "All the 10 players have been discharged from the hospital and they are fit to play against Australia 'A'". During their match against India ‘A’ on August 9, South Africa ‘A’ did not have enough fit players in the latter stages of the game and the team’s video analyst besides India 'A's Mandeep Singh had to field. "With half of the squad going down ill overnight South Africa was forced to play an ill-balanced starting XI that had only four frontline bowlers with the likes of Dean Elgar and Khaya Zondo to make up the rest of the overs," the Cricket South Africa had stated in a release earlier. The revised schedule for the remaining matches of the Triangular series is as follows: August 12 - Australia 'A' vs South Africa 'A'

August 13 - India 'A' vs South Africa 'A' August 14 - Final of the Tri Series
