Townsville, Aug 23: With back-to-back match winning performances, Baba Aparajith has been instrumental in India claiming a spot in the ICC U19 CWC 2012 final. Aparajith, who made a crucial 44 and then claimed a wicket in the semi-final against New Zealand today, contributed in all three departments in the quarter-final as well.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony the humble youngster lauded his teammates for their contribution in the thrilling encounter.

On his second consecutive Man-of-the-Match award

I am just trying to keep the momentum from the last match going. The last match and this match [were] two crucial games. I am trying to stick to my basics.

On the tough fight put up by New Zealand

They fielded really well, they bowled well and they pushed us in the field also.

On the contribution by his teammates

Everyone did well. All the bowlers and batsmen contributed, because of that we are in the finals.

On the final against Australia

It feels really good. Australia is a very competitive side. We are looking forward to that match.
