One of the biggest reasons for Badri’s success in domestic cricket is his adaptability. The middle-order batsman is capable of grafting his way through a difficult passage of play after the loss of early wickets; he is equally adept at playing big shots when quick runs are needed. Badri has been amongst the Ranji Trophy’s leading run-getters in the 2005-‘06, 2007-‘08 and 2010-‘11 seasons.

Badri’s domestic form has also earned him an India call-up on a few occasions; the batsman has represented the country in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. However, the Tamil Nadu batsman has disappointed in his few international appearances, as a result of which he is yet to become a regular member of the Indian side.
