Yuvraj Singh speaks about his bowling and becoming the first left-arm spinner to get a five-for at CWC
Bengaluru, March 6: After becoming the first left-arm spinner to register a five-wicket haul in the ICC Cricket World Cup competition, Yuvraj Singh said that he has been working hard in the nets with his bowling and the results were now showing.
The flamboyant batsman said the feeling is the same like when he scored his first hundred against Bangladesh.
Excerpts from an interview:
On claiming five wickets against Ireland
I am happy. I have been doing a good job with the ball and it is a great feeling to get a five-for.
On becoming the first left-arm spinner to get a five-for at World Cup competition
I have been working on my bowling and in the last few one-dayers it has come out nicely. I have been bowling eight to nine overs consistently. So, I am happy contributing with the ball as well.
On whether he likes slow turning pitches
Definitely, my bowling is all about trying to bowl as slow as possible. I keep discussing with MS [MS Dhoni] about what kind of pace is required for the wicket and what I have to bowl.
On the celebration after getting five wickets
Yeah, the feeling of getting my first five-for is same as getting my first ODI hundred against Bangladesh in 2003.
