MEDIA RELEASE Arvind Apte, former Test cricketer, passed away on 5 August 2014. An opening batsman, he played 58 first-class matches from the mid-1950s to the early 1970s. He represented Mumbai and Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy, and played one Test, against England at Leeds, in 1959. Arvind Apte was a fine cricketer and human being.
