Goa’s Shadab Jakati and S Bandekar helped bowl Tripura out on the first day of the fourth round of the ongoing Ranji Trophy while R Gahlaut’s unbeaten 127 helped shape the Services innings. Chhattishargh’s Pankaj Rao and S Ruikar kept the Kerala lineup in check while the match between Haryana and Andhra was evenly poised at the end of first day’s play. However, R Gahlaut (127*) with his maiden century and S Yadav then ensured that there were no further disruptions for the team. With an unbroken 199-run partnership the pair took the team to 283 for three until stumps.
