Sprained ankle renders Aussie ‘keeper doubtful for Mohali Test
Brad Haddin has been called up to join the Australian Test team in India as a backup to the injured Matthew Wade.
Wade sprained his ankle while playing basketball with his teammates in Chandigarh ahead of the third Test. While he has not yet been ruled out of the Mohali Test, Australian physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said that the complex nature of his injury might keep him out of the Playing XI.
Meanwhile, 35-year-old Haddin’s last Test also came against India, in January 2012 at Adelaide. Since then the New South Welshman has been replaced by Wade, starting from Australia’s tour of West Indies in April 2012.
