Centurion, Jan 23: Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla was delighted at being given the opportunity to play the crucial fifth ODI against South Africa. Here he talks about playing for India and the chance to represent his country in the World Cup.

On the fifth ODI
[It’s a] very good opportunity for us, you know. If we win this game, we will win the series which has never happened in Indian history.
On the opportunity to play in tough South African conditions where the part-timers have done well
The way our part-time spinners have bowled, they have done a terrific job for us and I am also looking forward to playing the game and to do [a] good [job] for my team.
On getting an opportunity to play in the upcoming World Cup
Every player wants to play for the Indian team and being a part of the World Cup team is obviously a dream come true. I’m looking forward to playing the World Cup in India. Most of the guys don’t know that I have never played a single one-day in India. [I have played all my matches] abroad so I am looking forward to playing in India.
On playing in India during the World Cup
Indian conditions are terrific and the crowd, the way the crowd supports us [is great]. So I’m really looking forward to that.
