Mumbai, Nov 27: The three-match Test series between India and West Indies ended dramatically – with a thrilling last-ball draw, scores level. Over the course of the series, certain players shone with their skill and application, reinforcing their reputations or building exciting new ones. For the visitors, Darren Bravo evoked the legendary Brian Lara, uncannily matching statistics fuelling comparisons. The opener ended as the series’ leading run-scorer with a tally of 404 runs. For India, a new star emerged in R Ashwin. With 22 wickets from his first three Tests, nine of which came in the last one alone, he erased the disappointment of Tendulkar’s missed hundred with a ton of his own. Rahul Dravid topped the run-getters’ list for India, bringing up his 13,000-run mark along the way.
