S P Aich picked up three wickets while Vrushali Bhagat scored 41 as India B defeated India C to win the Women’s Under 23 T20 Challenger Trophy at the Siechem Stadium in Puducherry on Sunday.

Electing to bowl, India B restricted India C to 96/5. Sheetal Rana top-scored with an unbeaten 29 for India C. For India B, Aich scalped three wickets while K Anjali Sarvani and Rashi Kanojiya got one wicket each.

In the chase, Bhagat and N Anusha put up a 54-run opening stand for India B before the latter got out in the 12th over.

Bhagat, who scored 41 off 43 balls, got put two overs later, Minnu Mani’s unbeaten 17 off 15 balls to help India B cross the finish line with five wickets in hand and eight balls to spare.
