Mohali, March 30:India maintained their hundred percent win record against Pakistan in World Cup competitions. Virender Sehwag and MS Dhoni became the sixth and seventh Indian batsmen respectively to record more than 1,000 runs against Pakistan in ODIs. We give you a quick glimpse of these and other statistical highlights from today’s 2011 ICC World Cup game between India and Pakistan.

100%: India’s win record over Pakistan in the cricket World Cup. India have beaten Pakistan on all five occasions that the two have played each other at the mega event.

36.1:The number of overs after which India conceded their first extra in Pakistan’s innings.

19:Wickets taken by Zaheer Khan in the 2011 ICC World Cup – the most by an Indian in a single cricket World Cup edition. Roger Binny (in 1983) and Zaheer himself (n 2003) had taken 18 wickets previously.

7:The number of times Sehwag has opened his account with a four in this tournament, that is, in each and every innings!

6:Virender Sehwag became the sixth Indian batsman to aggregate 1,000 runs against Pakistan after Sachin Tendulkar (2474), Rahul Dravid (1889), Mohammad Azharuddin (1657), Sourav Ganguly (1652) and Yuvraj Singh (1251). Later in the innings, MS Dhoni became the seventh Indian to do so.

3:The number of times Sachin Tendulkar has scored 400 runs in a cricket World Cup. He took his run-tally to 464 in this tournament. Tendulkar had scored 523 runs in 1996 edition and a record 673 runs in 2003 edition. Tendulkar became the first player to aggregate 400 runs in a World Cup on three occasions. Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist are other batsmen to have done so on two occasions.

3:The number of occasions on which India have reached the World Cup final. The other such occasions were in 1983 and 2003.

1: Zaheer, Nehra, Munaf, Harbhajan and Yuvraj took two wickets each. This provided the first instance in ODI history of allfive bowlers of a side taking two wickets each.

1:With Sri Lanka and India reaching the final, this provided the first instance of two subcontinental sides reaching the World Cup final.
