Team gears up for 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh
It is that time in the series when the Test whites are set to make way for the ODI colours. With the one-off Test match ending in a tame draw after rain played its part, the focus now shifts to the three-match ODI series between India and Bangladesh. India’s ODI recruits who were not part of the Test squad landed at Dhaka on Monday and posed for a few shutterbugs at the airport. MS Dhoni, and his one-day specialists -Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni and Stuart Binny -checked into the team hotel on Monday evening braving the city's notorious traffic. The ODI series will see MS Dhoni back at the helm of affairs leading his young brigade in pursuit of a series win against a spirited Bangladesh ODI side. Test matches aside, this Bangladesh team has over the years shown its prowess in the shorter formats of the game and will be looking to put up a brave fight against a strong Indian ODI setup. The teams are scheduled to play three ODIs on June 18, 21 and 24th of June and all ODIs will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. With the forecast of rain hovering over the ODI series as well, the BCB have scheduled a reserved day in case of a possible wash out.
