Air India, State Bank of Hyd to compete on Sept 8
MEDIA RELEASE Mumbai, Sept 7: AIR INDIA will play STATE BANK OF HYDERABAD in the final of the AIRTEL RAJ SINGH DUNGAPUR Trophy, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Thursday, 8 September 2011. The third edition of the BCCI’s Inter-Corporate tournament featured sixteen teams. The teams were divided into four groups of four each, and the matches were played in Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Chennai and Bengaluru. State Bank of Hyderabad beat Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) by 108 runs in the first semi-final, played in Chennai on 5 September 2011. This was the first time CAG had participated in the annual tournament, and the side went all the way to the final four. Air India beat Indian Oil Corporation, the winners of the 2010 edition, by three wickets, in the second semi-final, played in Bengaluru on 6 September 2011.
