Punjab v J&K
Punjab edged J&K by 19 runs in their Inter State One-Day league encounter. Ram Dayal and RB Dutta took three wickets each for J&K, but half-centuries from opener Chandan Madan (76) and Amitoze Singh (54) took Punjab to a modest 224 all out in 49.4 overs. However, J&K stumbled in the face of the chase. No. 9 batsman, Parvez Rassol was the only half-centurion (51*) in the J&K innings as the top and middle-order failed to rise to the challenge posed by the Punjab attack. Rajvinder Singh took three for 34, while Bipul Sharma took two for 41 as Punjab restricted J&K to 205 for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs.
Delhi v Himachal Pradesh
Delhi bowlers set up an impressive eight-wicket win for their team against Himachal Pradesh at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium here in Delhi. Parvinder Awana took four for 22 while Pawan Suyal, Pradeep Sangwan and Rajat Bhatia took two wickets each to bowl HP out for a paltry 103 in 39.1 overs. In reply, Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 55 steered Delhi passed the victory target in just 25.3 overs.
Haryana v SSCB
Haryana bowlers gave their side a 52-run win against Services in a match played at the Palam B Ground, Model Sports Complex in Delhi. After being put into bat first, Haryana managed 223 for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Kuldeep Hooda was the star of Haryana’s batting effort with an unbeaten 58. Services never threatened to challenge that score as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Sanjeev Mishra top-scored for Services with an innings of 54, but with Jayant Yadav taking three for 40 and Kuldeep Hooda and Harshal Patel taking two wickets each, Services were bowled out for 171 in 46.1 overs.
South Zone

Goa v Andhra Pradesh
In a match which saw more than 750 runs scored in 98.4 overs, it was Andhra Pradesh who came up trumps against their opponents Goa. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Swapnil Asnodkar powered Goa to a mammoth score of 383 with a blustery innings of 139 off 123 balls. Reagan Pinto scored 68 while Shadaj Jakati scored an unbeaten 45 (off 23 balls) to complement Asnodkar’s innings. On another day that total might have been enough, but centuries from Y Venugopal Rao (115* off 101) and AG Pradeep (104 off 69 deliveries) gave Andhra Pradesh a four-wicket win in 48.4 overs in this thrilling run-fest.
Kerala v Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu registered a 61-run win against Kerala at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After being asked to bat first, half-centuries from opener Aniruddha Srikkanth (82) and KB Arun Karthik (56) helped Tamil Nadu post a competitive 284 for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Kerala, however, wilted in the quest for victory as Tamil Nadu pacers Rajamani Jesuraj and Chandrasekar Ganapathy took four wickets apiece to bowl Kerala our for 223 in 48.3 overs.
Hyderabad v Karnataka
Karnataka skipper and opening batsman Robin Uthappa (120 off 99 balls) scored a stroke-filled century to take his team to a mammoth 343 for 7. Hyderabad responded meekly, losing wickets at regular intervals, hence losing by 103 runs. Dwarka Ravi Teja (110) forged a lone battle for Hyderabad but faield due to want of support. Karnataka’s rookie pacer Ronit More (5 for 31) continued his dream run with yet another five for.
East Zone

Bengal v Jharkhand
Laxmi Ratan Shukla scored a marauding 96-ball 151 runs to led Bengal to a seven-wicket win over Jharkhand. Chasing a formidable 282, Bengal lost captain Sourav Ganguly (1) in the second over, before Shukla began his blitzkrieg that included 16 fours and eight sixes. Jharkhand’s Ishank Jaggi (129) too notched up a century but it couldn’t lift his team to a victory. Bengal’s medium pacer Shami Ahmed topped the wicket-takers’ chart with four wickets albeit at an expensive 8.60 runs per over.
Orissa v Tripura
Half-centuries from Bilap Samantray (78) and Govind Podder (55) elevated Orissa to 291 runs in 49.5 overs. The target proved too high for Tripura, who collapsed for 196 during the chase to hand a 95-run win to Orissa. Left-arm spinner Paresh Patel was the wrecker-in-chief for Orissa with figures of 4 for 30 in 8.2 overs. Basant Mohanty and Alok Mangaraj contributed with two scalps each as Tripura’s innings ended in 47.2 overs.
Central zone
Nagpur, Feb 24
Rajasthan v Madhya Pradesh
Jalaj Saxena (4 for 40), aided by Ankeet Sharma (2 for 45), restricted Rajasthan for 224 for 7 to lay the foundation for MP’s four-wicket win. Middle-order batsman Udit Birla (102* off 129 balls) backed up the bowlers’ disciplined effort with a solid century to see MP home despite regular jitters at the other end.
Uttar Pradesh v Vidarbha
Electing to field first, Vidarbha stifled the UP batsmen for runs and didn’t allow them to get past 229 for 7 in their 50 overs. Skipper Piyush Chawla broke the shackles with a blistering 69 runs off 43 balls, punctuated by five boundaries and four hits over the fence. Mohammad Kaif (40) and Ali Murtaza (46) were the other contributors for UP with the bat. Vidarbha’s opening batsman Akshay Kolhar (73) made light work of the target and the team cruised to a five-wicket win.
