Rajasthan put up fight, still trail by 356 runs
Jaipur, Oct 3: Rajasthan trail Rest of India (ROI) by 356 runs in the first innings of the Irani Cup with four wickets in hand at the end of Day 3 of the match in progress; ROI had posted 663 in their first innings.
Having lost three wickets yesterday in 22.2 overs and 53 runs on board, the Ranji Trophy champions came back to add 254 runs on the third day here at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Robin Bist, who was yet to open his account when play ended yesterday, scored 93 runs while Rashmi Parida added 85 runs to the Rajasthan total. The two added 158 runs for the fourth wicket until Parida edged Vinay Kumar to Manish Pandey in the slips. A few overs later, Bist’s long stay at the crease was ended by Pragyan Ojha.
