MEDIA ADVISORY June 23, 2022 India’s Tour of England Jayant Yadav added to India’s Test squad The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Jayant Yadav as cover for R. Ashwin for the rescheduled fifth Test against England to be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 1-5. Ashwin did not travel with the Test squad after testing positive for COVID-19 and reached Leicester on Wednesday. Once the BCCI Medical Team is satisfied with Ashwin’s recovery and deems him fit to play, Jayant will be released from the squad. Vice-captain KL Rahul is yet to fully recover from his right groin injury and has been ruled out of the Test.
