Kranti Gaud named as replacement for injured Kashvee Gautam in Team India’s squad for Tri-Series

The Women’s Selection Committee has named fast-bowling all-rounder Kranti Gaud as a replacement for Kashvee Gautam in Team India’s squad for the ongoing Tri-Nation ODI series involving hosts Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Kashvee sustained a knee injury during India’s league match against Sri Lanka on Sunday, May 4, and has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament.

Kranti, 21, recently became the second-youngest player to register a four-wicket haul in the Women’s Premier League, returning figures of 4/25 in Bengaluru.

India’s next fixture in the Tri-Series is against South Africa on Wednesday, May 7.
