Bengaluru, Oct 1: After rain forced the Mumbai Indians versus Cape Cobras encounter to be abandoned last evening in Bengaluru, bad weather resulted in a no-show between the South Australian Redbacks and Somerset Group B game in the Nokia CLT20 2011. The rain came pelting down at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium soon after Redbacks’ skipper Michael Klinger won the toss and opted to field first against the English county side. With rain showing no signs of abating, the match was finally called off at 6:00 pm IST. The washout leaves both the Redbacks and Somerset with three points each in Group B standings. The Redbacks now play their final group outing against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru on October 5. Somerset, meanwhile, have two games in hand and will play the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru on October 3.
