New Zealand pacer Tim Southee believes that one has to mix up things while bowling to Tendulkar
Nagpur, Nov 21: New Zealand paceman Tim Southee on Sunday said that his team was hopeful of bouncing back in the match and while bowling to Sachin Tendulkar one can’t be predictable.
Excerpts:
On New Zealand being pushed on the backfoot:
Obviouisly, we didn’t score many runs in the first innings and they have a great partnership going now. Hopefully, we can pick early wickets tomorrow and fight our way back into it.
On Virender Sehwag:
We know that Sehwag was going to bat like that. He has got off to a good start in every game. We have our plans right but we need to execute it better right from the start.
On bouncing Sachin:
You can’t be predictable, you just have to mix it up ...and it was more that than anything else. Just mix it up
On his second spell:
I had a better rhythm in that second spell and it just sort of went from there and I tried to bowl wicket to wicket. I got in a couple of good overs.
On his batting:
I just wanted to hang around with Brendon [McCullum] and after he got out I just went for my shots and managed to connect with a couple for a change.
