India
Two consecutive washouts have rendered this series a five-match affair, which means the Nagpur ODI will be decisive in determining the fate of the series. For India it is a must-win tie in order to stay alive in the series. Their chance of doing so will depend significantly on how well the bowlers perform. While the inclusion of Mohammad Shami will be a boost, India must bring in Bhuvneshwar Kumar back in place of Vinay Kumar. The spinners should have a role to play on the Nagpur track. The batting is expected to remain unchanged.
Australia
With a 2-1 lead, the visitors will look to wrap up the series in Nagpur itself. Australia have been superior to their opposition in the bowling and fielding departments and it is this superiority that will give them an upper-hand in the remaining games as well. If Shane Watson gets back among runs and strengthens the middle-order, all the areas will be covered for the Aussies.

Mohammad Shami’s inclusion in the Playing XI changed the face of India’s bowling in Ranchi. His speed, accuracy and the ability to first recognize the right length and then land the ball consistently there lends a lot of potency to the struggling bowling attack. India would hope he maintains his rhythm and gets rid of the in-form Aussie top-order, like he did in the fourth ODI.
Australia
In this series of run-fests, one bowler who has stood out is Mitchell Johnson. Although not the highest wicket-taker in the series so far, his contribution has been a major reason for Australia’s success. The fear and pressure he has generated with his fierce pace and bounce, has aided his pace bowling colleagues in extracting rewards at the other end. Johnson’s form will be crucial to Australia’s cause of winning the series.
