Third time lucky for India against WI; Raina maintains all-win record

Trinidad, June 4: The 200th T20 International to be played turned out to be a memorable one for the young Indian team as they beat West Indies for the first time in this format. Led by Suresh Raina, who’s had three wins in as many T20Is as captain, India managed to post their highest score, 159, against the hosts. Here’s a look at the stats highlights from the only T20 game of the tour.

200- The match was the 200th Twenty20 international to be played.

159- for two - India’s total, their highest against West Indies. This obliterates the 155 for nine they posted at Bridgetown during the 2010 World Cup.

100- percent. Suresh Raina’s win record in Twenty20 internationals. He has now won all three T20I matches in which he has captained India.

71- Number of runs added by S Badrinath and Rohit Sharma for the fifth wicket, India’s best partnership for any wicket against West Indies. The previous best was 64 for the fourth wicket between Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan at Lord’s in 2009.

18- Number of wickets taken by Harbhajan Singh in T20 internationals, the most by an Indian. He went ahead of Irfan Pathan’s tally of 16 wickets.

10- Number of maidens bowled by Praveen Kumar in the shortest format of the game, the most by any bowler. He went ahead of South African Alfonso Thomas’ tally of nine maidens.

4- for 16, Darren Sammy’s figures. Third best figures by a captain in Twenty20 internationals.

1- India registered their first win over West Indies in a Twenty20 international. This was their third attempt.
