Karnataka will take on Punjab while Maharashtra will take on the winner of the Railways vs Bengal match in the semi-final of the Ranji Trophy 2013-14. Having set UP a 333-run target, Karnataka bowled them out for 240 on the penultimate day of the match. Shreyas Gopal claimed a five-for, while Abhimanyu Mithun picked three wickets and Vinay Kumar took two to pull off the convincing win in the quarter-finals. Punjab vs J&K: The VRV Singh-led attack bowled Punjab to a 100-run win over Jammu & Kashmir in the quarter-final. Chasing 324 runs, J&K resumed their innings on 77 for two on the fourth morning and were bowled out for 223 later in the day. VRV Singh finished the innings with a five-wicket haul and MS Gony took three wickets, while Sandeep Sharma and Harbhajan Singh picked a wicket each. Mumbai vs Maharashtra: With a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium, Maharashtra have booked themselves a place in the semi-final. Click here for the report.
