Mumbai-Delhi head for a thrilling finish

With six wickets in hand and needing 331 runs to win, Delhi need to pull off a draw to book a place in the semi-final on the basis of first innings lead while Mumbai need to win to make it to the next level. With a day's play left in the match Karnataka are set to enter the semi-final on the basis of a first innings lead even if they don’t bowl out the opposition on the fifth day. With the match likely to end in a draw, TN will enter the semi-final on the basis of their first innings lead. Here are the highlights for the day: Assam vs Karnataka: Karnataka declared their second innings on 415/5 to set Assam a 683-run target. Resuming on 137/2 on the fourth morning, the side piled on runs until late in the last session before declaring their innings. Anchoring the innings, opener R Samarath scored his second first class century before returning to the final session two runs short of his previous best of 180. Chasing the mammoth target, Assam were 32 without loss in the second innings when play ended for the day. Delhi vs Mumbai: Mumbai scored 450 in the second innings to set Delhi a formidable 441-run target in Cuttack. Siddhesh Lad posted 55 after resuming on 41 on the fourth morning, while the lower-order chipped in with valuable runs before being bowled out earlier in the day. Wilkin Mota then accounted for Unmukt Chand and Shivam Sharma in the 22nd over to leave Delhi on 56/2. When play resumed after the rain interruption in the third session, Shardul Thakur claimed Gautam Gambhir in the 34th over with the score on 92. Rajat Bhatia however, rallied on and was batting on 25 with Manan Sharma on 14. On 110/4 at stumps, Delhi need 331 runs to win. Tamil Nadu vs Vidarbha: Tamil Nadu were leading by 343 runs with four wickets in hand in the second innings at the end of pen-ultimate day's play in Jaipur. The team from south bowled Vidarbha out for 259 after resuming on 206/6 to secure a 144-run first innings lead. With a day remaining in the match, TN were 191/6 at stumps on Thursday. S Bandiwar removed Murali Vijay and Baba Aparajith with 17 runs on the board and later dismissed Abhinav Mukund to leave the side on 36/3. However, Dinseh Karthik and V Shankar stitched a partnership to help add to the total until the former was sent back. When play ended for the day, Malolan Rangarajan and Baba Indrajith were batting on three and six respectively. Andhra vs Maharashtra: Maharashtra's pace quartet – Anupam Sanklecha (4/19), Samad Fallah, DJ Muthuswamy and Shrikant Mundhe then bowled the side to a 75-run win.
