Tamil Nadu entered the Ranji Trophy 2014-15 final on the basis of their first innings lead against Maharashtra at the Eden Gardens. They will take on defending champions Karnataka in the clash for the title at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Maharashtra, who were trailing by 155 runs when they resumed the innings in the morning were bowled out for 454. Vijay Shankar removed the overnight batsman, Rohit Motwani and Ankit Bawane while Aswin Crist ran through the lower-order to end Maharashtra’s campaign for the title. When play was called off, TN had declared their second innings on 119 without losing a wicket.
