Ganguly slams century for Bengal
Mumbai, Dec 1: After being bowled out for 93 in the first innings, Orissa were batting on 163 for the loss of seven wickets in their second innings at the end of Day 3 of their Ranji encounter against Mumbai. Ramesh Powar claimed four wickets, Abhishek Nayar two and star bowler Zaheer Khan picked one for Mumbai.
Haryana v Bengal: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly slammed 135 before Bengal were all out for 339 in the first innings in reply to Haryana's 358. At stumps, the hosts had lost one wicket for 42 runs.
Kerala v Andhra: In a thrilling encounter at Kochi, Andhra now require three runs to beat Kerala with one wicket in hand. Kerala’s second innings was wrapped up for 131, one run more than their first innings, with G Shankara Rao and KS Sahabuddin claiming four and three wickets respectively. The visitors, who were earlier bundled out for 74, fought back in their second innings and were batting on 185 for the loss of nine wickets with B Sumanth top-scoring with 55. P Prasanth and Raiphi Gomez took three wickets apiece while SK Cheruvathur, who had claimed six in the first innings, picked two.
Delhi v Baroda: Bowled out for 415, Delhi took a first-innings lead of 97 runs. Baroda trail by 16 runs with six wickets in hand having lost four wickets for 81 runs in their second innings.
Punjab v Railways: A five-for by Manpreet Gony, and a four-for by Harmeet Singh, helped wrap up Railways’ first innings for 273 earlier in the day. Punjab have lost four wickets for 51 runs, but lead by 144 runs, thanks to their first innings score of 366.
Jharkhand v Assam: AN Ahmed was the only successful bowler for Assam with a four-for as Jharkhand reached 301 for the loss of four wickets. At stumps on Day 3, Ishank Jaggi was batting on 163 with Deepak Chougule at the other end.
Karnataka v Saurashtra: Saurashtra's Sandip Maniar claimed four wickets as Karnataka amassed 503 runs before declaring their innings.
Maharashtra v J&K: Ankit Bawane was unbeaten on 104 as Maharashtra were 479 for the loss of five wickets piling on their first-innings lead in reply to J&K's 388.
Rajasthan v UPCA: Piyush Chawla’s four wickets, Bhuvnesh Kumar three wickets and RP Singh’s two wickets helped UP enforce the follow-on against Rajasthan.
