TN’s Mukund posts double-ton against Guj

Mumbai, Dec 14: Tamil Nadu had posted a mammoth 693 for eight wickets against Gujarat when play was called off on Day 2 with Yo Mahesh and J Kaushik at the crease. Opener Abhinav Mukund went on to score a double-ton before being sent back by Parth Parkih and was the first to return to the pavilion earlier today. Besides S Badrinath, who made a century yesterday, Dinesh Karthik (135) and K Vasudevadas (105) also registered centuries in the ongoing match in Ahmedabad.

Railways v Orissa: No. 6 batsman Mahesh Rawat's 103, along with Ashish Yadav's 68, helped Railways reach a respectable 379 earlier in the day. In response, Orissa were 108 for no loss when play ended today.

Haryana v MPCA: TP Sudhindra ran through Haryana's top-order claiming four wickets to leave the side tottering on 22 for the loss of five wickets at stumps on Day 2 after Madhya Pradesh posted a first innings total 487. Captain Devendra Bundela was the second-highest scorer for MP having contributed 112 runs.

Bengal v Delhi: After adding 140 runs to their overnight total, Delhi were bowled out for 392 on Day 2 with Rajat Bhatia remaining unbeaten on 163 runs. At stumps, Bengal were trailing in the first innings by 308 runs with six wickets in hand with veteran cricketer and skipper Sourav Ganguly at the crease. After Kuldeep Rawat sent back Bengal opener Arindam Das in the second over, SP Goswami was run out by Yogesh Nagar, and then Pradeep Sangwan claimed two wickets, to leave the hosts at 84 for the loss of four wickets.

Rajasthan v Saurashtra: After bowling out hosts Rajasthan for 396, Saurashtra were 215 for the loss of seven wickets. Pankaj Singh (four wickets) and Rituraj Singh (two wickets) ran through the Saurashtra batting line up while Sumit Mathur picked one wicket.
