Mumbai top Elite Group A; Delhi, Group B
Mumbai, Dec 2: Mumbai have become the table-toppers of the Elite Group A after inflicting a crushing defeat on Orissa in a one-sided encounter at the DRIEMS Ground. Ramesh Powar claimed six wickets to help wrap up the hosts’ second innings for 226 runs and Mumbai ended up winning the match by an innings and 210 runs. Ace pacer Zaheer Khan, who is making a comeback after an ankle surgery, claimed a total of four wickets in the match.
Kerala v Andhra: Kerala have beaten Andhra by two runs in a low-scoring game in Kochi. The visitors were bowled out for 185 in the second innings with SK Cheruvathur, P Prasanth and Raiphi Gomez picking three wickets each.
Delhi v Baroda: Delhi beat Baroda by 10 wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium to jump to the top of the Elite Group B points table. Parvindar Awana took a five-for while Ashish Nehra and Rajat Bhatia took three and two wickets respectively to wrap up the visitors’ second innings for 144.
Goa v Hyderabad: Hyderabad have beaten hosts Goa by an innings and 157 runs. Anwar Khan and Kanesh Naidu took four wickets apiece to help bowl out the hosts for 104 in their second innings.
Haryana v Bengal: The Elite Group B match has ended in a draw. Ashok Dinda took seven wickets to help end Haryana's second innings for 169. Bengal were on 128 for the loss of five wickets when play ended today.
Jharkhand v Assam: This Plate League - Group B match ended in a draw at the Railway Stadium in Dhanbad. Assam's Dheeraj Jadhav, who hit a century in the first innings, was unbeaten on 106 when play was called off.
Himachal v SSCB: Pratik Desai scored an unbeaten 205 in the second innings after Services were asked to follow on. The innings helped the side to draw the match against Himachal Pradesh.
Rajasthan v UPCA: Centuries by Aakash Chopra (135) and Robin Bist (100*) in the second innings after being asked to follow on helped Rajasthan draw the match against visitors UPCA in Udaipur.
MPCA v Gujarat: MP won the Elite Group B match against Gujarat by five wickets in Indore.
