Summary

Paradkar scores 189*; Dutta bags six wickets

Mumbai, Dec 7: RS Paradkar (189*) missed out on a well-deserved double ton, left stranded at one end, as Vidarbha's innings came to an end for 382 in the match against Andhra Pradesh. P Vijay Kumar was the leading wicket-taker for Andhra with a four-wicket haul.

Baroda v Gujarat: IH Chaudhary was the leading wicket-taker for Gujarat with a five-for that helped end the Baroda innings for 203. Gujarat were then bowled out for 169 as Parmar (45*) ran out of partners. Batting again, Baroda were batting on nine with all wickets in hand at the end of day's play.

Punjab v Rajasthan: Thanks to Ravi Inder Singh and Karan Goel yesterday, and MA Sidana (122) and AMP Singh (103) today, Punjab declared their first innings on 597 for eight. Rajasthan then lost Vineet Saxena early and were 50 for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of day's play.

Orissa v Karnataka: After adding another 40 runs to their overnight total, Karnataka were all out for 278 earlier in the day. In response Orissa were batting on 211 for the loss of seven wickets when play was called off. Stuart Binny and SL Akshay took three and two wickets respectively while S Aravind and KP Appanna picked one apiece.

Saurashtra v Mumbai: B M Chauhan made 157 as Saurashtra posted a first-innings total of 580 for the loss of nine wickets. Pace spearhead Zaheer Khan claimed three wickets on a placid Rajkot wicket while spinners Ramesh Powar and Iqbal Adulla picked four and two scalps respectively. At the end of the second day's play, Mumbai had lost S Marathe and the key wicket of Abhishek Nayar for just 19 runs.

UPCA v Railways: After Railways were bowled out for 374 earlier in the day, UP's first innings was wrapped up for a paltry 79 runs as S B Bangar (5/20) and K R Upadhyay (4/37) ran through their line-up. Asked to follow on, UP had scored 18 runs and lost opener Tanmay Srivastava for a duck to Upadhayay.

MPCA v Delhi: In response to Delhi's first innings total of 158, MP made 156 in their first innings giving the hosts a two-run lead. The visitors put up a better performance in the second innings and were 238 for the loss of three wickets at stumps today.

Bengal v Tamil Nadu: K Vasudevadas starred in Tamil Nadu’s innings of 391 with 106 runs while Ashok Dinda claimed four wickets for Bengal at the Eden Gardens. In reply the hosts have already lost two wickets today with 84 runs on the board.

Jharkhand v Goa: Chasing 218, Goa were bowled out for 189. SS Quadri claimed five wickets for Jharkhand. The hosts were 42 for no loss at stumps.

Hyderabad v J&K: J&K used as many as eight bowlers as they clashed with hosts Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group B match between the two sides. KB Dutta was the highest wicket-taker for the visitors with six wickets while B Sandeep was the highest run-getter for Hyderabad with 112 runs. Later, A Lalit Mohan picked all four J&K (119) wickets that fell today.
