Summary
NZ make it to final based on coin toss
There was no play possible on the fifth day of the Duleep Trophy match between East Zone and North Zone. While the match was extended into the reserve – fifth – day, rain continued to play spoilsport at the Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Hence, the match ended in a draw.
As a result, the finalist was decided on basis of the spin of a coin. North Zone skipper Harbhajan Singh won the toss, and therefore, his team will now play against South Zone in the title clash from October 17 to October 21 in Kochi.
