The second day of the Inter-state one-day league witness two tied matches - Hyderabad vs Karnataka in Bangalore and MPCA vs UPCA in Jaipur. Here is the roundup for the day: South Zone Andhra vs Tamil Nadu: Having bowled Andhra out for a paltry total, TN coasted to an eight-wicket win in Bangalore. After electing to field first, the Yo Mahesh-led attack skittled Andhra out for 126. While Mahesh claimed five, Rahil Shah picked two wickets and L Balaji, M Mohammed, Vijay Shankar took a wicket each. Chasing the subpar total, Murali Vijay was sent back by S B Dasari 50 to end the opening stand for 84. The bowler castled Baba Aparajith for a duck off the next ball. However, those were the only two TN wickets to fall as opener Umashankar Sushil took the team to victory with a 61 not-out. Goa vs Kerala: Kerala posted a three-wicket win against Goa. Opting to bat first, Goa were bowled out for 231 with an over to spare. Sagun Kamat's 41 at the top of the order was supplemented by useful contributions by the rest of the line-up to set Kerala a competitive target. Kerala's Padmanabhan Prasanth's claimed four wickets, while Prasanth Parameswaran, VA Jagdeesh and S Warrier took two each to bowl Goa out. Sachin Baby's 89 along with Jagdeesh's 47 helped Kerala chase down the target with seven balls to spare. Hyderabad vs Karnataka:In a thrilling finish at Bangalore, the match between Hyderabad and Karnataka ended in a tie. Asked to bat first, Karnataka scored 248 for eight. While Robin Uthappa made 45, Amit Verma scored 44 lower down the order before being run out. Vinay Kumar scored an unbeaten 47 to help his team to a sizeable score. While chasing the total, P A Reddy's 57, followed by DB Ravi Teja's 47, helped Hyderabad make a match of it, while Ashish Reddy's 51 not-out helped the team avert defeat and tie the score. Central Zone MPCA vs UPCA: Jaipur too witnessed a tie as MPCA posted 137 for six and UPCA reached the same score for the loss of nine wickets while chasing in the match reduced to 20 overs a side. UP's Amit Mishra had claimed a four-for to help keep MP to 137. Not out on 38, Harpreet Singh was MP's top scorer in the innings. Later, after MP's Puneet Datey ended the opening stand for 45, the rest of the bowling line-up struck at regular intervals to keep the match hanging in balance. Salman Baig claimed three wickets, while Yogesh Rawat took two and Jalaj Saxena picked one to keep to keep UP on a tight leash. However, they couldn’t pull off a win as UP tied the score. Amit Mishra was not out on five with Ankit Rajpoot at the other end on zero as they ran out of overs. Railways vs Vidarbha: Match abandoned without a ball being bowled. West Zone Mumbai vs Gujarat: Mumbai were handed their second defeat in two days in Rajkot when they lost to Gujarat by four wickets in the day/night encounter. Opting to bat Mumbai were bowled out for 232. Captain Surya Kumar Yadav scored 57 while S Shaikh, opening the batting for Mumbai, made 44. In reply, Gujarat attained the target with a ball to spare. A 61-run opening partnership between Parthiv Patel and D J Raval set the match up for Gujarat. While Raval went on to make 67, Y Venugopal Rao contributed 58. Although they lost a couple of quick wickets in between, they chased down the target for the loss of six wickets. Maharashtra vs Saurashtra: Maharashtra beat Saurashtra by four runs at Rajkot. Opting to bat first, Maharashtra lost their openers early and were left on 34 for two. However, Ankit Bawne's 64, Rahul Tripathi's 62 and Nikhil Naik's 42 helped Maharashtra to 254 for eight. Their bowlers then held their nerves and bowled Saurashtra out for 250 to bowl the team to victory. Akshay Darekar picked three wickets, while Samad Fallah and Domnic Joseph claimed two each. Shrikant Mundhe chipped in with one wicket. Arpit Vasavada was the top scorer for Saurashtra with 68 runs.
