With a win against Karnataka, Saurashtra have managed to climb up from the No 8 spot. Assam, who were playing their last game of the league phase in the penultimate round of Ranji Trophy 2016-17, lost to Jharkhand and will face relegation next season. Odisha are at the No 3 spot with 22 points after beating Maharashtra while Delhi have jumped to the fourth position after gaining three points on the basis of first innings lead against Vidarbha. Delhi and Maharashtra both have 21 points but are separated by the net run-rate. While Jharkhand currently top the table with 32 points, the last round is likely to witness some exciting games as teams fight for a place in the knockouts.
