Summary
Jharkhand force Assam to follow on
With a first innings lead against table-toppers Karnataka, Saurashtra have secured themselves three points. They were at the bottom of the points table ahead of the eight round and were just two points behind the No 8 placed Assam as they look to avoid relegation. On the other hand, having conceded first innings lead and asked to follow on by Jharkhand, Assam would be able to salvage only a point if they are able to draw the game. While this is Assam’s last match of the season, Saurashtra have one more game to save their place in Group B.
