Cuttack, Nov 29: A nervy low-scorer at a packed Barabati stadium ended with the hosts scraping through to a one-wicket win, just their second win by a single wicket in their entire ODI history. This was the 102nd ODI between India and West Indies. The record reads: India – 43, West Indies – 56, Tied – 1 and No result – 2.
This was the third match between the two sides at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. India have won all three encounters.
Virender Sehwag was leading India for the eighth time in an ODI. He had last captained India against Sri Lanka at Kolkata on December 24, 2009.
Darren Bravo (60) made his sixth fifty in ODIs in his 29th ODI innings – his second in seven innings against India.
