Summary
Chand ton sets up Delhi win
Delhi registered their first win of the phase, while Bengal claimed their second consecutive victory in the super league of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2012-13 in Indore. Here is the round-up for the day:
T20 Super League – A
Delhi vs Gujarat: Delhi beat Gujarat by 112 runs on the second day of the Twenty20 super league phase in Indore. After Unmukt Chand helped Delhi post a massive total with a second consecutive century, the bowlers bundled out Gujarat for 86 with 15 balls to spare. The young Delhi opener whipped 125 off 63 balls with 10 sixes and 10 boundaries. Defending 198, Parvinder Awana got the ball rolling with the wicket of SK Patel and rest of the bowling attack followed up with wickets at regular intervals. S Narwal claimed three, while Manan Sharma took two and P Suyal, Varun Sood and Pawan Negi picked a wicket each.
T20 Super League - B
Bengal vs UPCA: After beating Baroda on the first day, Bengal defeated UPCA by 14 runs on the second day to add four more points to their tally. Put in to bat first, WP Saha propelled Bengal to 176 with a 64 not-out and was ably supported by the top order in setting a competitive target. S J Mandal, SC Sanyal and AA Nandi then claimed two wickets each and I Saxena picked one to restrict UPCA to in 162 for nine and secure a win. With 49 runs, Praveen Kumar put up a resistance lower down the order, but couldn’t salvage the game for UPCA after the middle order caved in to the Bengal attack.

ADD UNDER T20 Super League – A
Odihsa vs Vidarbha: Back in action, pacer Umesh Yadav led Vidarbha to a comprehensive 73-run victory with a five-wicket haul. Electing to bat first, Vidarbha lost a couple of wickets early on, but valuable contributions by the rest of the middle order, including Ravi Jangid’s 63, helped them post 180 runs on the board. Yadav was then assisted by FY Fazal (two wickets), Shreekant Wagh, Jangid and GD Upadhyay in bowling Odisha out for 107 with 33 balls to spare.
ADD UNDER T20 Super League - B
Punjab vs Baroda: Chasing 127 runs, Punjab coasted to a nine-wicket win over Baroda with 32 balls to spare. After the Punjab bowling attack ran through the Baroda line-up to skittle them out for 126 in 18.5 overs, Ravinder Singh (69) and Mandeep Singh (46*) ensured an easy victory for Punjab. Earlier, Amitoze Singh claimed three wickets, while ST Kaul, Rajwinder Joginder Singh and RP Sharma picked two wickets each and Manpreet Gony chipped in with one to bowl Baroda out.
