Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of Bangladesh A’s tour of India after suffering a side strain during the first one-day game in Bengaluru. To replace the fast bowler, Kamrul Islam Rabbi has been called up to join the Bangladesh A squad. Taskin only bowled one spell of five overs in the one-dayer, during which he dismissed India A captain, Unmukt Chand. He did come to bat as Bangladesh A struggled in their 323-run chase, but was dismissed lbw first ball. He was the last man to fall as India A won the match by 96 runs. Taskin’s replacement, Rabbi, is a 23-year-old right-arm pacer. He has 15 wickets from 11 List A matches in the 2014-15 season and 21 first-class wickets at an average of 54.47.
