Toss: England v India – 2nd Test
Summary

Yuvraj, Sreesanth in for India as Dhoni opts to bowl

Nottingham, July 29: India’s luck with the toss continues as MS Dhoni wins the toss and opts to bowl first at Trent Bridge.

Both sides have made changes in their playing eleven owing to injuries to key players. Tim Bresnan replaces Chris Tremlett in the England. In the Indian squad, Yuvraj Singh replaces Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth will play in place of Zaheer Khan.

Captain speak:

MS Dhoni (India):

On winning the toss and opting to bowl: Looks like a good wicket. There has been a change in the stadium after 2007 [match] so we feel the wicket will remain the same.

On the Team: The others who have come in are part of the 15 [players] which means they are as good as the other players so it’s an opportunity for them to prove themselves. The best option is that Rahul [Dravid goes up and maybe [VVS] Laxman bats at No 3.

On India’s ability to bounce back: we are already one –down in the series so we cant really do much about it. But,there is plenty of cricket left in the series.

Andrew Strauss (England):

On losing the toss: We would have bowled too but, it is not a bad toss to lose.

On the wicket: The wicket looks okay, we are gonna have to react well if it swings but but I don’t think there are any massive demons in it. The first hour is going to be important.

On Tim Bresnan: Bres is back in the side. He offers something different in these conditions. He is been a proven performer for us.
