After their batsmen set up the game in Delhi’s favour after claiming a solid first innings lead, Ishant Sharma picked two early wickets to push Odisha on the backfoot. Maharashtra on course to claim first innings lead after bowlers leave Team Rajasthan trailing by 162 runs with two wickets in hand. In Mumbai too, Karnataka in a advantageous position after Stuart Binny, Karun Nair and Robin Uthappa score big centuries against Assam. Group B, Round 4 – Day 3 Round-up:

After resuming on 351 for seven, Gautam Gambhir declared Delhi’s innings on 495 for eight at the fall of Manan Sharma’s wicket for 81. As Team Rajasthan trail by 162 runs, Maharashtra need two wickets to seize a first innings. In reply to Maharashtra’s 461, the Pankaj Singh-led team were 299 for eight at stumps on the third day as the match heads into a draw. With Chirag Khurana, Akshay Darekar, M Sayyad striking at regular intervals to keep the lineup on a tight leash Team Rajasthan were unable to grab the momentum from the opposition. When play ended for the day at the fall of A Choudhary’s wicket, C Bist was batting on 43.

Along with G Satish he had taken the team to 171 when Ashish Kumar trapped the No 3 bat lbw. 59 runs later, Shahbaz Nadeem sent back Ramaswamy to leave the team on 230 for three. Shanware and Jangid then took the team to stumps in an unbroken stand for the fourth wicket.
